RESOLUTION NO. 2020- 30i <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br /> SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING A CONCEPTUAL PLAN <br /> BY O'LEARY RICHARDS DESIGN ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR THE <br /> MEDITATION GARDEN AT TOWN CENTER PARK, ATTACHED <br /> HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br /> DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; <br /> PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the Public Arts Advisory Committee ("PAAC") was created with the intent <br /> to advise the City Commission on matters of Public Art; and <br /> WHEREAS, the PAAC requested undertaking a pilot project and was tasked with <br /> repurposing the parcel of land formerly used as the Skate Park at Town Center Park ("TCP"); and <br /> WHEREAS, after receiving input and feedback from the PAAC, the Consultant <br /> presented a conceptual design for the TCP; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City wishes to approve the conceptual design for the Meditation Garden <br /> at Town Center Park to proceed with the project. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Approval of Conceptual Design. The City Commission hereby approves the <br /> conceptual design for an art park at Town Center Park ("Meditation Garden"), attached hereto as <br /> Exhibit"A". <br /> Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br /> things necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. <br /> Section 3. Effective Date.
