ti <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2020 - 3ojt2 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, <br /> AWARDING REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL NO. 19-11-02 TO, AND <br /> APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH, TADEOS ENGINEERING, INC. <br /> FOR DESIGN-BUILD SERVICES OF A PAVILION SHADE STRUCTURE <br /> AT THE NEWPORT FISHING PIER, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED <br /> FOUR HUNDRED NINETEEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS <br /> ($419,500.00), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING <br /> THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE <br /> CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE <br /> THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, on November 26, 2019, the City issued and advertised Request for Proposal <br /> ("RFP")No. 19-11-02 for design-build services of a pavilion shade structure at the Newport Fishing <br /> Pier, for which one (1) response was received; and <br /> WHEREAS, after careful review City staff determined that the response submitted by <br /> Tadeos Engineering, Inc. ("Contractor") was responsible and responsive; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Commission wishes to award RFP No. 19-11-02 to,and enter into an <br /> Agreement with, Tadeos Engineering, Inc. to provide design-build services of a pavilion shade <br /> structure at the Newport Fishing Pier,in an amount not to exceed Four Hundred Nineteen Thousand <br /> Five Hundred Dollars ($419,500.00), attached hereto as Exhibit"A". <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Award of Request for Proposal and Approval of Agreement. The City Commission <br /> hereby awards RFP No. 19-11-02 to,and enters into an Agreement with,Tadeos Engineering,Inc.to <br /> provide design-build services of a pavilion shade structure at the Newport Fishing Pier,in an amount <br /> not to exceed Four Hundred Nineteen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($419,500.00), attached <br /> hereto as Exhibit"A". <br /> Section 2. Authorization of Mayor. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement. <br /> Section 3. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br /> things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> Section 4. Effective Date.
