RESOLUTION NO. 2020 - <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br /> SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING A FIRST <br /> AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH PERKINS+WILL FOR <br /> PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR INTERIOR <br /> REMODELING OF GOVERNMENT CENTER LOBBY AND GATEWAY <br /> PARK FOR INTERNAL SPACE BUILD-OUT, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO <br /> EXCEED FORTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($40,000.00), ATTACHED <br /> HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br /> EXECUTE SAID AMENDMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br /> MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS <br /> RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, on March 15th, 2018 via Resolution No. 2018-2800, the City Commission <br /> approved an Agreement with Perkins+Will for Professional Architectural Services relating to the <br /> interior remodeling of the government center lobby and the Gateway Park buildout, in an amount <br /> not to exceed $410,000.00; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager has determined that additional services not originally <br /> included in the scope of work are required to complete the project; and <br /> WHEREAS, Perkins+Will have agreed to provide the additional services in an amount <br /> not to exceed $40,000.00, as more specifically described in Exhibit "A"; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to approve a First Amendment to the <br /> Agreement with Perkins+Will for additional professional architect services for the interior <br /> remodeling at Government Center Lobby and for the internal space build-out at Gateway Park, in <br /> an amount not to exceed Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A", <br /> bringing the total contract amount not to exceed Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars <br /> ($450,000.00). <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Approval of First Amendment. The City Commission hereby approves a First <br /> Amendment to the Agreement with Perkins+Will for additional professional architect services for <br /> the interior remodeling at Government Center Lobby and for the internal space build-out at <br /> Gateway Park, in an amount not to exceed Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00), attached hereto <br /> as Exhibit "A", bringing the total contract amount not to exceed Four Hundred Fifty Thousand <br /> Dollars ($450,000.00). <br /> Section 2. Authorization of Mayor. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said <br /> Amendment. <br /> Section 3. Authorization of City Manager.
