WHEREAS, on December 3, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an <br />additional seven (7) days, until December 9, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, on December 10, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an <br />additional seven (7) days, until December 16, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, on December 17, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an <br />additional seven (7) days, until December 23, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, on December 24, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an <br />additional seven (7) days, until December 30, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, on December 31, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an <br />additional seven (7) days, until January 6, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 7, 2021, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an additional <br />seven (7) days, until January 13, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 14, 2021, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an additional <br />seven (7) days, until January 20, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 21, 2021, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an additional <br />seven (7) days, until January 27, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 28, 2021, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an additional <br />seven (7) days, until February 3, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 4, 2021, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an additional <br />seven (7) days, until February 10, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 11, 2021, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an <br />additional seven (7) days, until February 17, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, due to COVID-19, the City Manager has determined that a condition of extreme peril of public health <br />and welfare continues to exist, thereby necessitating the continued state of emergency. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. An emergency continues to exist throughout the City of Sunny Isles Beach; and <br />2. The declared state of Local Emergency is hereby extended for an additional seven (7) days, until February 24, 2021. <br />IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that during the continued existence of said emergency the powers, functions, and <br />duties of the City Manager/designee of the City of Sunny Isles Beach be those prescribed by State law and the ordinances, <br />resolutions, and approved plans of the City of Sunny Isles Beach in order to mitigate the effects of said emergency. <br />Dated: <br />FKA <br />ar, CMC, City Clerk <br />By: <br />Christop er J.
