atINY /t(! <br />FOURTH EXTENSION OF DECLARED LOCAL EMERGENCY <br />•�, ` '``�.'• CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA <br />yI //• /LOf'w a <br />C//01 IyN .O <br />WHEREAS, on March 12, 2020, the City Manager declared a Local Emergency, as a <br />result of COVID-19; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 252.38(3)(a)5., F.S., political subdivisions have the <br />power and authority to declare a state of local emergency for a period of up to seven (7) days, <br />which may be extended as necessary, in seven (7) day increments; and <br />WHEREAS, on March 19, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local <br />Emergency for an additional seven (7) days, until March 25, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, on March 26, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local <br />Emergency for an additional seven (7) days, until April 1, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, on April 2, 2020, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local <br />Emergency for an additional seven (7) days, until April 8, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, due to COVID-19, the City Manager has determined that a condition of <br />extreme peril of public health and welfare continues to exist, thereby necessitating the continued <br />state of emergency. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />An emergency continues to exist throughout the City of Sunny Isles Beach; and <br />2. The declared state of Local Emergency is hereby extended for an additional seven (7) days, <br />until April 15, 2020. <br />IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that during the continued existence of said emergency the <br />powers, functions, and duties of the City Manager/designee of the City of Sunny Isles Beach be <br />those prescribed by State law and the ordinances, resolutions, and approved plans of the City of <br />Sunny Isles Beach in order to mitigate the effects of said emergency. <br />It <br />4A�v <br />� <br />Dated: By: <br />Christopher J. usso, City Manager <br />X11 <br />CMC, City Clerk <br />
