WHEREAS, on February 18, 2021, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for <br />an additional seven (7) days, until February 24, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 25, 2021, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for <br />an additional seven (7) days, until March 3, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, on March 4, 2021, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an <br />additional seven (7) days, until March 10, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, on March 11, 2021, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an <br />additional seven (7) days, until March 17, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, on March 18, 2021, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an <br />additional seven (7) days, until March 24, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, on March 25, 2021, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an <br />additional seven (7) days, until March 31, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, due to COVID-19, the City Manager has determined that a condition of extreme peril of <br />public health and welfare continues to exist, thereby necessitating the continued state of emergency. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. An emergency continues to exist throughout the City of Sunny Isles Beach; and <br />2. The declared state of Local Emergency is hereby extended for an additional seven (7) days, until April 7, <br />2021. <br />IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that during the continued existence of said emergency the powers, <br />functions, and duties of the City Manager/designee of the City of Sunny Isles Beach be those prescribed by State <br />law and the ordinances, resolutions, and approved plans of the City of Sunny Isles Beach in order to mitigate the <br />effects of said emergency. <br />Dated:! � r:;i 1 <br />Christop er J.
