CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES (CCNA) NO. 20-07-01 <br />18 <br />City of <br />MANAGEMENT OF CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING AND INSPECTION SERVICES <br />Project Management <br />Our Project Manager, Andrew Nixon, PE, will provide management oversight of our inspector(s) and associated <br />technical support team for the duration of the project in order to deliver consistent, effective, high quality service to the <br />City. The Project Manager will provide the inspector with whatever support is necessary to keep him focused on the <br />contractor and quality of the work being provided. <br /> <br />Along with the inspector, the PM will coordinate all project meetings and as co-chair, prepare agendas, take meeting <br />notes and distribute minutes to the project team members. This may include: <br /> <br /> Community involvement/resident's information meetings. <br /> Review/tracking/monitoring status of: <br /> Construction progress <br /> Shop drawing submittals and responses <br /> Contract document clarification and interpretations (RFIs) <br /> Requests for changes to construction cost and or schedule <br /> Review of contractor’s baseline and progress schedule(s) and require recovery schedules should the work fall <br />behind <br /> Process progress payments: <br /> Verifying that the work has progressed to the point indicated <br /> That it is in substantial accordance with the contract documents and that the contractor is entitled to the payment <br />amount being requested <br /> And that all required backup documentation is included, such as: <br /> Subcontractor and contractors releases of lien <br /> A current and updated progress schedule <br /> Stored materials record <br /> Davis Bacon documentation that may be required by funding grants <br /> Internal Quality Control oversight of the inspector’s work product consisting of but not limited to: <br /> Daily reports <br /> <br />Owner/designer notification of contractor deviation or non-compliance <br /> Issuance of non-compliance notices <br /> Review of change order recommendations <br /> Review of the contractor's construction progress schedules <br /> Substantial completion punch list <br /> <br />Construction Inspections <br />Once in construction, RADISE will provide the specific inspection services requested. Our inspector, serving as the <br />owner’s onsite representative, will verify that critical elements of construction are being complied with and that the <br />general intent of the contract documents is being met. His main focus then shifts to not only documenting the work as <br />it is being completed, but also verifying its conformance with the approved designed. His daily duties will include but <br />not be limited to: <br /> Inspection of work in progress to assist in determining if the provisions of the contract documents and permitting <br />conditions are being fulfilled. <br /> Report, in writing, whenever it is believed that work is unsatisfactory, faulty or defective. <br /> Report, in writing, whenever it is believed that a hazardous condition exists. <br /> Maintain daily log, of the work performed to include: <br /> When the contractor is on the job site <br /> Weather conditions <br /> Changed conditions <br /> List of visitors <br /> General observations <br /> Specific observations <br /> Observed testing procedures <br /> Labor force <br /> Equipment on job <br /> <br /> General observations <br /> Specific observations <br /> Observed testing procedures <br /> Labor force <br /> Equipment on job <br />
