C-4Proven solutions
Responsive and dependable performance
City of Sunny Isles Beach RFQ No. 20-07-01: Continuing Professional Consulting Services (CCNA)
Minority, Small & Disadvantaged Businesses
Minority Business Certification
CES Consultants, Inc.
01/10/2020 01/10/2022
CES Consultants, Inc. is a Certified Minority Business Enterprise as defined by the Florida Small and Minority Business
Assistance Act and a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), certified by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
Additionally, our proposed Survey & Mapping consultant, Longitude Surveyors, LLC is certified as a Disadvantaged Business
Enterprise (DBE) as well as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) by Miami Dade County. Our proposed Geotechnical Engineering
consultant GCES Engineering Services, LLC is certified by FDOT as a Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE); a Minority, Small
and Micro Business Enterprise (MWBE\SBE\MBE) by Miami Dade County Public Schools; and a Small Business Enterprise (SBE)
by Miami Dade County.
CES, a 100% minority-owned firm, is committed to meeting goals for subcontracting with and promoting minority- and woman-
owned small businesses. This is evidenced by our sponsorship of and attendance at various Small Business Conferences
throughout Florida over the last 19 years, our past projects meeting and exceeding governmental contracting goals by
typically assigning 15-40% of total fees to SBE and WMBE firms, and subcontracting to WMBE and SBE firms, even when CES
could exceed the WMBE/SBE goals on its own.
CES could not have graduated from SBE status and experienced the growth we have achieved over the past 19 years without
help and mentoring from larger firms. Giving back, our firm recognizes the importance of nurturing relationships with Small,
Woman and Minority Disadvantaged Business Enterprise firms and, as such, has been working with and mentoring several firms
on a regular basis, not just to fulfill a required percentage. After completing successful projects with these SBE and WMBE firms,
teaching business fundamentals, design coaching and permitting advice, these firms, in some cases become prime consultants
and true partners of CES. Watching these firms develop and grow is a testament to the power of these programs.
