REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS NO. 20-07-01
CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES (CCNA)

TAB E: QUALIFICATION INFORMATION & ASSIGNED PERSONNEL

Geographical Information Systems (G.I.S.)
Craven Thompson’s survey staff has over twenty (20) years of GIS experience. We currently run the
latest version of ESRI’s ArcGIS software and have been involved with multiple municipalities in
development of GIS databases and mapping projects.
Some examples include the North Miami Service Area Water and Sewer GIS Project, the North Miami
Beach Stormwater Data Collection Project, the City of Fort Lauderdale Stormwater Master Plan - GIS
and Survey, the City of Fort Lauderdale Sanitary Sewer System G.I.S. Data Collection Project, the City
of Sunrise on their Fire Hydrant Maintenance Program, and the City of Oakland Park on their
Commercial Storm Water Assessment Database. We have also created a complete Utility Atlas in
ArcGIS for Port Everglades Authority converting all of the CAD based systems into ArcGIS geo-
database with hyperlinks to the CAD files and As-built PDF files for Water, Storm, Sanitary,
Communications, Electric, and Fuel lines. As a follow-up to this project, we completed a
comprehensive survey of all of their drainage system within the Port including all the connecting
pipes, outfalls, manholes, catch basins and culverts to be added in the GIS database. We have
capitalized on our Surveying & Remote Sensing experience to utilize LIDAR and Laser scanning
inside the ArcGIS platform for Drainage Studies and Modeling.
We also completed an ArcGIS geo-database and mapping project for the Broward County Department
of Natural Resources Regional Reuse Water Master Plan. This project involved all municipalities
within Broward County mapping the Existing, Planned, and Proposed Reuse water lines and the
Existing and Potential Reuse Water Parcels Owners. We performed the GIS work for this project as a
subcontractor to Hazen & Sawyer and created a detailed and comprehensive geo-database of the
reuse lines and parcels and their connectivity with all of the Wastewater Treatment Plants in
Broward. The geo-database also included other GIS layers that have potential projects for reuse
water line placement; these projects include roadway, sidewalks, greenways and bicycle paths
acquired from FDOT, MOP, and SFWMD. We also created a management tool for all of the Utility
partners inside of Google Earth to make the GIS data accessible to non-GIS staff and managers.
Our Vice President of Survey & GIS, Richard D. Pryce,
P.S.M., has thirty (30) years of GIS experience with
ESRI software and has managed several large GIS
projects including: 45,000 acre Biscayne Bay
Wetlands project for SFWMD in 2003 - 2004,
creating and mapping over 70,000 parcels for the
Broward County Property Appraisers Office 1996 -
2005, and was the Survey & GIS Project Manager on
a 900 Mile GIS/GPS survey and mapping of the Class
3 & 4 Natural Gas Pipelines going through 41 Florida
Counties for Florida Gas Transmission in 1999 -
2000 to meet their National Pipeline Safety
requirements.

E | Page 7
