PROJECT APPROACH AND UNDERSTANDINGD. <br />CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES (ARCHITECTURE) <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach RFQ 20-07-01| PAGE 9 <br />A. Services Firm is Proposing <br />In order to best meet the criteria specified in the Scope <br />of Services for the City of Sunny Isles' proposed projects <br />under this contract, Saltz Michelson Architects offers the <br />following, available through our in-house staff and team of <br />consultants: <br /> Analysis of projected building and land space <br />requirements, including examination and <br />inventories of existing building usability, if required <br /> Site selection and development including <br />alternative site determination and evaluation <br /> Analysis of the impact of development on <br />the surrounding community in terms of traffic <br />generation, community services, and local <br />ecology <br /> Land use, concurrency, platting and zoning <br />analysis <br /> Financial feasibility studies including budget <br />determination, project requirements and <br />construction costs <br /> Master development planning and conceptual <br />design studies <br /> Tenant coordination and plan review <br /> Space programming <br /> Architectural design <br /> Design development and production of <br />construction documents and specifications as <br />required for building construction <br /> Structural engineering <br /> Mechanical and electrical engineering <br /> Civil engineering & survey <br /> Landscape architecture <br /> Interior design <br /> Construction administration <br /> Construction consulting <br /> Design and signage criteria manuals <br /> LEED AP Services <br /> Cost Estimating <br /> Expert Witness Services <br /> Bridge Consulting <br /> Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) <br /> Market Analysis <br />B. Project Management Plan <br />Saltz Michelson Architects will be the prime firm leading <br />this effort, with all SMA staff reporting to Charles <br />Michelson, the Principal-in-Charge. Our consultant team <br />will report to the Project Manager, several of which are <br />available to serve the City of Sunny Isles Beach and are <br />shown on the Organizational Chart. The Project Manager <br />will be the Team Leader and single point of contact who <br />will: <br /> »Lead the creative process <br /> »Establish the program <br /> »Communicate effectively the scope of work <br /> »Review compliance with the budget <br /> »Liaison to the City of Sunny Isles Beach <br /> »Adhere to SMA office policies <br />Our approach will ensure that your project objectives are <br />met through the following management activities: <br /> <br /> »Coordination and communication <br /> »Sufficient resources and staff <br /> »Cost control <br /> »Schedule control <br /> »Quality control <br />It has been our firm’s experience that close client and <br />consultant relationships lead to a successful project. We <br />place major emphasis on routine and timely communication <br />with the City of Sunny Isles Beach as well as all consultants <br />and agencies involved in the project. We will also establish <br />regular review meetings to be documented by memoranda <br />listing decisions made, actions to be taken, assignments <br />of responsibility for those actions, and pending items. The <br />documentation we generate will be sent to the City on a <br />regular basis. <br />C.
