Our <br />staff has been trained in the use of these <br />documents with over 25 years of experience. <br />BIDDING <br />Key staff members have administered bidding <br />on literally hundreds of projects. Responding to <br />all questions from bidders in a clear and concise <br />manner in addendums is critical to receiving <br />good bids. It is also important to treat all bidders <br />equally so that no bidder has an unfair <br />advantage. Conducting pre-bid meetings, <br />preparing minutes, issuing addendums, <br />facilitating bid openings, evaluating bids, issuing <br />a notice of award, <br />CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION & <br />OBSERVATION SERVICES <br /> Meet with the contractor and all <br />subcontractors to review the scope of work <br />and schedule, testing requirements, <br />inspection schedules, limitation on the times <br />of day work can be done, as well as any <br />limitations of the contractor. <br /> Schedule regular (weekly), bi-weekly, etc.) <br />meetings with contractor, City staff, <br />engineer, sub-consultants and sub- <br />contractors as required to insure proper <br />project coordination and communication. <br /> Perform on-site field observation and submit <br />copies of reports to City staff. The field <br />representative will inform the City of the <br />progress of the work, how it compares with <br />the schedule and any changes in the <br />construction that will affect the time of <br />completion or costs. <br /> Recommend on a monthly basis the amount <br />of funds to be released to the contractor <br />based on percent completed and schedule. <br /> Obtain any warranties for the work done <br />under the contract. <br /> Submit as-built information and certification <br />to the appropriate governmental agencies <br />and close out the project. <br />PERMITTING REVIEW PROCESS <br /> Coordinate with staff on issues related to the <br />property being reviewed and its possible <br />impact on the City’s objectives and <br />initiatives. <br /> Provide proper comments and requests for <br />additional information with respect to all <br />applicable Federal, State and Local laws / <br />ordinances. <br /> Concentrate on possible adverse impacts to <br />adjacent property owners. <br /> Correspond with permittee when <br />appropriate. <br />Sunny Isles Beach <br />9
