Miami Dade College <br />MDC AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN OWNER AND NAME OF COMPANY <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />AMENDMENT NO. 2 EXTENDED TO THE AGREEMENT FOR <br />ARCHITECTURAL FIRMS TO PROVIDE DESIGN AND ENGINEERING SERVICES <br />Between <br />THE DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF <br />MIAMI DADE COLLEGE, FLORIDA <br />and <br />JORGE GUTIERREZ ARCHITECT, LLC <br />This AMENDMENT NO. 2 effective as of 16th day of June, 2020, by and between The District <br />Board of Trustees of Miami Dade College, Florida, a public educational institution and a political <br />subdivision of the State of Florida (hereinafter called the “Owner) and Jorge Gutierrez Architect, <br />LLC., a Florida Corporation, whose address is 14400 NW 77th Court, Suite 104, Miami Lakes, <br />FL 33016 (hereinafter called the “COMPANY/CONTRACTOR”). <br />Recitals <br />WHEREAS, on March 7, 2017, the Owner issued RFQ 2017-RB-09 for Architectural <br />Services; and <br />WHEREAS, on July 18, 2017, pursuant to RFQ 2017-RB-09, the Owner authorized the <br />College administration to negotiate and execute continuing services agreements with firm(s) to <br />provide such services for a one (1)-year period, with two (2) options to renew at the Owner’s <br />discretion; and <br />WHEREAS, effective November 13, 2017, the parties executed Contract No. AEM18008 <br />for such services (“Agreement”) which would end, unless terminated prior to the term, on June 30, <br />2018; and <br />WHEREAS, at the end of the initial term, the parties agreed to extend the Agreement for a <br />term commencing from July 1, 2018 - June 30, 2019; and <br />WHEREAS, the Owner has agreed to exercise its second option to extend the Agreement <br />for a term commencing on July 1, 2019 <br />WHEREAS, the Owner has agreed to exercise and extend its second option to extend the <br />Agreement for a term commencing on July 1, 2020 <br />Page 100
