<br />Silvia is a professional planner with experience throughout the U.S. and abroad. After starting as a public sector planner in the Florida Keys,
<br />Silvia’s subsequent private practice spans planning projects at every scale, in urban, suburban and rural contexts. She has directed some 24
<br />region-wide, county, and municipal comprehensive plans, many of which have received national or state awards for planning excellence from
<br />APA and other professional organizations. Silvia has also led numerous community visioning and strategic planning processes, parks and open
<br />space plans, regulatory codes and design standards, university campus master plans, community revitalization processes, and placemaking
<br />initiatives. Silvia is a skilled Project Manager and an imaginative facilitator who specializes in designing creative public engagement processes.

<br />Code to be streamlined, modern, and user-friendly. Silvia role included directing the design, development and maintenance of a project
<br />website, providing guidance for a project-related social media campaign, writing or editing articles and press releases to promote the
<br />project, and design and facilitation of all public outreach and related activities for public engagement events. Cost: $118,000 (overall)

<br />Indiantown, Florida
<br />Silvia developed the public engagement strategy for the Village of Indiantown as, with CGA’s assistance, the Village embarked on
<br />the process of preparing its first Land Development Code. Silvia’s role included preparing press releases, advising the Village on the
<br />development of a project webpage embedded in the Village’s website, soft branding, drafting articles (or editing articles by others),
<br />advising the Village on social media posts, working with local partners, and preparing outreach materials for all public engagement
<br />activities contemplated in the LDC process, which Silvia facilitated. Silvia ensured that all materials were bilingual (Spanish/English) to
<br />serve the multicultural needs of the local population. The LDC will be very critical in helping guide growth and the future development

<br />Silvia helped design public engagement activities in support of the CGA team preparing a vision and land use scenarios for the South
<br />Dade Transitway Corridor of the SMART Plan, including providing strategic advice on the design of a series of LEGO residential and
<br />employment density exercises to determine projection allocations by station area. Silvia also assisted in storyboarding, drafting, laying
