~ Miami Dade College <br />RECEIVED <br />AUG 13 ZIJ18 <br />AMENDMENTTOTHEAGREEMENTFOR <br />ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING FIRMS TO PROVIDE DESIGN AND <br />ENGINEERING SERVICES <br />Between <br />DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF <br />MIAMI DADE COLLEGE, FLORIDA <br />And <br />JORGE GUTIERREZ ARCHITECT, LLC <br />This Amendment number one (1), entered into as of 19th day of June, 2018, by and between <br />the District Board of Trustees of Miami Dade College, Florida, a body corporate, public <br />educational institution, and a political subdivision of the State of Florida (hereinafter called the <br />"Owner" or "Board") and Jorge Gutierrez Architect, LLC , a <br />Florida Corporation, hereinafter called the "Builder". <br />Recitals <br />WHEREAS, on July 18, 2017, the Board issued Request for Qualifications No. 2017- <br />RB-09 to establish a pool of prequalified firms to provide certain services for multiple <br />construction projects around the College; and <br />WHEREAS, on July 18, 2017, pursuant to Board Consent Agenda Item 5(h), the Board <br />authorized the College administration to negotiate and execute agreements with firms to provide <br />Services for Minor Capital Projects College-Wide services ("Services") for a three (3) year <br />period, to be renewed annually; and <br />WHEREAS, effective November 13 2017, the parties executed Contract No. AEM <br />18008 for continuing services ("Agreement"); and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Board's authorization, the College administration wishes to <br />exercise this First (1) option to renew the Agreement with Jorge Gutierrez Architect, LLC for <br />an additional year subject to the terms and conditions contained herein. <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants contained <br />herein and other good and valuable consideration, the parties receipt and sufficiency of which are <br />hereby acknowledged, the parties agrees as follows: <br />1. EXTENDED TERM: To date, the College administration has exercised Zero (0) options to <br />renew the Agreement.
