Cover Letter and Executive Summary
and can be part of larger multi-faceted projects. Sewer Utilities As-Builts
Construction surveys include research to obtain data essential for
planning, estimating, locating, and layout for the various phases of
construction activities or projects. This type of survey includes
reconnaissance, preliminary, location, and layout surveys. Other
surveys we perform include design engineering surveys, topographic
surveys, and GPS and conventional control surveys.
Saint Agnes entrance
Reconstruction and
Roadway control and
staking
Boundary surveys are performed to determine lines of ownership.
They may require recovering and retracing historic boundary
information and sometimes require the determination of property
lines and the setting of survey monuments. Our survey methods for
these projects are conventional instruments, GPS techniques or both.
Broward County Transit
Improvement Surveys
Topographic surveys gather data about natural and man-made
features of the land, as well as its elevations. For these surveys our
staff will establish horizontal and vertical control that will serve as the
framework of the survey; determine horizontal location and elevation
(side shots) of ground points to provide enough data for plotting the
map and locate features that may be required by the survey; compute
distances, angles, and elevations; and prepare a three-dimensional
topographic map.
Pembroke Pines City
Center Site topographic
ALTA survey
Utility, right-of-way, and route Surveys require solid information as
the foundation of good engineering design. We can provide support
that incorporates land, hydrographic and geophysical surveys. Our
surveyors can work closely with your engineers and planners to design
a data collection program that will get the information required and
produce the GIS and CAD work necessary for engineering design to
provide preliminary and final locations for linear and above ground
features, such as roadways, pipelines and utilities. These surveys can
be accomplished with a variety of land survey tools.
Citywide Roadway Route
Surveys for the City of
Opa-Locka Capital
Improvements program
Volume Determination Our surveyors are experienced at estimating
excavation pit volumes, stockpile material and dredge volumes using
both linear and nonlinear survey methods. Data can be obtained
through land or hydrographic surveying and is often a combination of
the two. Calculating these volumes is accomplished with Digital
Terrain Modeling (DTM) and are important for many engineering and
construction projects and will often determine pay for the
construction contractor. We can provide land survey of excavation
sites to determine the amount of material removed and the
adherence to design elevations and slopes.
Biscayne Landing in
North Miami Land Fill
Closure and site
development, stockpile
verification and lake
filling operation Volume
Determination Survey

17
