VANDERWEILI <br />Qualification Information and Assigned Personnel <br />Section E <br />The Value of a Local Firm <br />Vanderweil, founded in 1950, has worked in the state of Florida for the past 28 years. <br />During this time Vanderweil has completed over 100 projects within the region, and <br />maintains a local Miami -Dade County office. <br />Bill Sellon, Associate Principal, not only heads the Miami office but also grew the <br />business from the ground up. Bill originally started as a senior plumbing engineer and <br />project manager, working out of Vanderweil's New York office. When the opportunity <br />to expand arose, Bill took on the challenge of establishing the new regional office. <br />Over the years, Bill has cultivated existing reslationships and established new ones, <br />growing the office to $2M in revenues today. <br />Vanderweil has nine offices throughout the United States. Should the need arise <br />for additional staffing, we have the opportunity to reach out to our offices in Atlanta, <br />Boston, Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix, Princeton, Philadelphia, and Washington, <br />D.C. The size and organization of our firm provides the flexibility to manage and satff <br />large projects in a timely and cost-efficient manner, while also providing hands-on, <br />localized services to better satisfy our clients. <br />Proposed Team <br />As requested, we have included full resumes in Section F: Firm References and <br />Similar Work Completed. The team members proposed for this contract all have <br />a wealth of mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing experience as well as <br />local experience on both federal and municipal projects. As stated in the Executive <br />Summary, the proposed team members are currently available to work on any and all <br />projects for the City of Sunny Isles Beach. <br />Past Project Experience <br />Also enclosed in Section F: Firm References and Similar Work Completed are three <br />relevant projects to the City of Sunny Isles in terms of scope, size, and client type. A <br />representative list of Vanderweil's government projects as well as past experience in <br />the state of Florida are also included in this section. <br />Vanderweil's specific similar project experience, as it relates to the City of Sunny <br />Isles, includes engineering design services for the renovation of the Station Marathon <br />for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard. <br />This government project on the United States Coast Guard campus in Marathon, <br />FL, included several buildings: a two-story administration building, single -story office <br />and storage building, and a boathouse which is a single -story building that houses a <br />repair shop, and storage. <br />The scope of design includes interior renovation, infrastructure enhancements, fuel <br />farm replacement, exterior lighting replacement and complementary plumbing, as well <br />as mechanical and electrical power work for all buildings on the campus. <br />Financial Stability and Certifications <br />Also enclosed in this section, please find Vanderweil's statement of Financial Stability <br />as well as the requested business licenses and individual certifications of the <br />proposed team. <br />10 <br />
