BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost)
Premiere Design Solutions, Inc (PDS) served as the prime consultant responsible for providing professional
engineering, surveying and permitting services to the City of Hallandale Beach for ADA improvements at 26 bus
stop locations within the City of Hallandale Beach. PDS’s responsibilities for this project included preparation of
surveys, geotechnical investigations, civil engineering design, permit preparation and processing, modification of
permits acquired by the BCTD (Broward County Transit Department) and construction management.
The PDS professional staff designed over 1,220 linear feet of 6” thick concrete sidewalk, which included, but was
not limited to modifying or adding new landing pads, connectors and handicap ramps. In addition, PDS prepared
all of the Topographic Surveys for this project and prepared paving, grading and drainage plans to depict proper
stormwater conveyance and retention as per the proposed improvements, which led to the inclusion of 4 FDOT
approved Mitered Ends. The utility coordination for this project was very rigorous since many of the bus stops are
located within high dense urban areas with reduced right-of-way space. PDS completed and followed closely the
permitting process, going through the different agencies having jurisdiction over the area, incorporating the
different standards and regulations that each agency required.
86
