Firm References and Similar Work Completed <br />The City of Miami Beach Public Works Department retained UES <br />to perform geotechnical services for the proposed infrastructure <br />improvements. The project includes roadway, drainage, lighting and <br />signalization improvements as well as replacement of a bulkhead wall <br />along the existing canal. Additionally, the geotechnical services include <br />providing design services for a Pump Station at 32nd Street, which <br />included developing engineering recommendations for pump station <br />foundation and excavation support. <br />UES’s scope of services included performing subsurface exploration <br />for design of the bulkhead wall system, perform laboratory soil/rock <br />classification testing, and providing soil/rock parameters for use in <br />bulkhead retaining wall design.
