(RAI), and Lcurdes <br />Rodriguez, AIA. Over the last 7 years we have collaborated successfully and efficiently on many projects with Miami <br />Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS) and Miami Dade College (MDC). <br />We started our first teaming back in 2013 with 4 projects from the original MDCPS General Obligation Bond. Those <br />projects had very strict schedules and budgets. The process started with a Scope of Work, Budget and Schedule form <br />MDCPS and our collaboration started at the Programming Phase, through final completion. From the beginning, itwas <br />evident that RAI had extensive experience and understanding of educational projects, code requirements and CM @ <br />Risk management and collaboration. During the Pre -construction services, we collaborated with RAI investigating <br />existing conditions, exposing structure (where anticipated) and making material and construction process decisions <br />that would then be incorporated in the Design and Construction Documents. these projects had 12 month schedules <br />and with the cooperation with RAI in expediting Shop Drawing reviews and other paperwork, we were able to complete <br />the projects within 8 months and at the start of the school year, therefore minimizing the disruption to the students and <br />staff. <br />Due to our success in those f rst 4 projects, MDCPS awarded the same team another 3 projects after their completion. <br />To this day, we continue working with RAI on various other projects and agencies, whether Hard Bid or CM, and we <br />have requested that they keep us on their Contractor Bidders list.
