City of Sunny Isles Beach | RFQ No. 20-07-01 | Continuing Professional Consulting Services (CCNA)
Another method of cost control during construction is CGA’s
multidisciplinary constructability review as part of our
Quality Assurance/Quality Control process. This process
consists of a peer review process where a design group
not directly involved with the project will review the plan
documents with a fresh perspective. Once the comments
have been addressed, the plans are submitted to the firm’s
Director of Engineering for final sign off before being released.
The multi-disciplined review process also consists of a
constructability review by a member of the CEI or construction
services department. This review specifically ensures that
the plans make sense from a construction perspective
and is intended to minimize potential problems in the field
during construction. Once the client and regulatory agencies
approve the final design, the construction documents will be
finalized and submitted to the City for bidding.
All of the team members and subconsultants team members
have worked with Mrs. Martinetti on previous projects.
Subconsultant coordination is streamlined by group emails
and frequent meetings, as noted above, to be sure they are
on track with task completion and moving in the intended
directions. The proposed team has collaborated and will
continue to collaborate effectively and efficiently under her
leadership.
Our team understands the needs of the City and is fully
capable of delivering all the services required for the
planning, design, permitting and construction services
relating to this contract. Additionally, the CGA team has
experience with assisting municipalities in obtaining grants
or executing projects funded by grants with specific time
constraints or reporting requirements. We have successfully
completed projects funded by Local Agency Project (LAP)
funding, FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP)
funds, Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND) grants,
County Incentive Grant Program (CIGP), Community Block
Grant (CBD), State Revolving Funds (SRF) and others. CGA
has recently completed the design on multiple LAP projects,
meeting the FDOT imposed LAP schedule and requirements
from their checklists. We have also been involved with the
applications for House and Senate Appropriations including
filling out the forms, providing technical back-up and working
on the project design.
The keys to success of every project will be keeping the City
Staff informed with efficient communication, experienced and
responsive technical staff, and innovative, value- engineering
design. Whether plan review, technical resource staffing or
project specific assignments are required, the CGA team has
the experience and dedication necessary to produce superior
results. Our emphasis on teamwork and quality control
allows us to consistently exceed our clients’ expectations.
We are ready and motivated to perform on this contract, and
have a high level of availability.
Location of Office Where Work will Be Performed
1800 Eller Drive, Suite 600, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316
SF330 Part I and II
Please reference the following pages for CGA's and our
subconsultants SF330 Part I and II.
Licenses and Certifications
CGA is licensed to do business in the State of Florida. After
the SF330 section, you'll find copies of licenses and/or
certifications for CGA, key personnels, and subconsultants.
26
