BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />The Water and Sanitary Sewer Improvements for the UAZ 110/111 & <br />113 Project include the improvements to the existing water distribution <br />system, sanitary sewer system, and transmission systems within the <br />project area along with the restoration of surface areas disturbed for the <br />construction of said improvements. All projects combined a total area of <br />over 1000 acres within multiple cities. The existing system being <br />replaced consists of approximately 168,100 LF of water mains, 122,100 <br />LF of sanitary sewer mains, and 23,600 LF force main. The existing <br />water main consists of asbestos cement, cast iron, ductile iron, <br />galvanized steel, and polyvinyl chloride pipe ranging from 2” - 24” in <br />diameter size. The sanitary sewer consists of vitrified clay, fold and form <br />liner, cured in place liner, and ductile iron pipe ranging from 8” – 15” in <br />diameter size. The force main consists of asbestos cement, cured in <br />place liner, ductile iron, and polyvinyl chloride pipe ranging from 6” – 16” <br />in diameter size. There are 8 Broward County lift stations in these UAZ <br />areas and 1 private lift station which sanitary sewer systems will need to <br />connect to.
