BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost.) <br /> <br />The proposed project consists of the widening of a segment of East Palm Drive that extends from US-1 to Southwest 172nd <br />Avenue. The roadway widening project contemplates the installation of a culvert structure along the water canal that runs along <br />East Palm Drive between the eastbound and westbound lanes. <br /> <br />The purpose of our study was to observe and document the de-mucking operations, confirm the previously encountered <br />subsurface conditions and to provide a peer-review of the previous geotechnical engineering study in connection with this project <br />that was conducted by NES. On this basis, PSI observed the de-mucking operations that took place between June 24th and August <br />16th of 2019. For quality assurance, samples from the excavated material were obtained by PSI at different depths and project <br />stations.
