<br />Mr. Eric J. Hammond, PE is a Professional Engineer with over 45 years of
<br />experience in Mechanical,Plumbing and Fire Protection design and Construction,
<br />Management. Mr. Hammond is the Principal-in-Charge overseeing all technical
<br />and administrative policies and management of the rm. He has facilitated many
<br />new and existing municipal projects, to include public safety and transportation,
<br />judicial buildings, re stations, parking garages, emergency operations,
<br />community enters, senior centers, recreational centers, parks, and renovation
<br />and remodeling of building facilities. He makes ethical and cost eff icient decisions
<br />that result in exceptional client satisfaction. He attends meetings during the
<br />design phase and remains active in all projects throughout completion. He
<br />performs necessary code research within his discipline and collaborates with the
<br />Architect and project Owner.

<br />BROWARD COUNTY COURTHOUSE, Broward County, FL – Hammond &
<br />Associates provided Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Engineering services for the
<br />new courthouse complex includes a county off ice building, the county jail, three
<br />courthouse buildings, an energy center, and a parking garage. The 740,000-square
<br />foot court building, which will occupy a 1.55-acre portion of the campus, is 20-stories
<br />high and features 74 courtrooms and hearing rooms, as well as off ice space
<br />for several government agencies. The courthouse will feature state-of-the-art
<br />technology, including extensive audio-visual and evidence presentation systems
<br />for the courtrooms and off ice spaces. Security will be enhanced using CCTV, card
<br />access, duress devices (push buttons) and entry screening security systems.
<br />Achieving a LEED Gold certi cation, the courthouse includes energy reductions up
<br />to 22 percent and water-use savings up to 30 percent. Role: Principal-in-Charge,

<br />CITY OF MIRAMAR POLICE DEPARTMENT,City of Miramar, FL– This facility is a
<br />three-story wrap around structure surrounding the Town Center Parking Garage.
<br />The rst level of this 80,000 SF building consists of a pedestrian friendly retail
<br />area with an arch covered exterior sidewalk facing City Hall Promenade and the
<br />pedestrian/automobile entrance to the building. The second and third oor houses
<br />the City’s Police Department including a sally port entry, holding areas, off ices,
<br />conference rooms and investigative facilities. This secure building is designed to be
<br />bullet-proof inside and outside and withstand Category 5 hurricanes. Hammond &
<br />Associates provided Plumbing and Fire Protection for the project. Role: Principal |

<br />BROWARD COUNTY JAIL, FT. LAUDERDALE, FL – Hammond & Associates
<br />provided engineering designs for the replacement of 4 chilled water air handlers.
<br />Each unit was approximately 180 tons with a total of 34, 650 CFM supply air and
<br />16,000 CFM outside air. These were the original units to the buildings and were
<br />located in 2 separate mechanical rooms on the 4th oor of the facility. The inlet
<br />vanes were removed and the units were retro tted with Variable Frequency Drives
<br />(VFD’s). Role: Principal-in-Charge, Mechanical Engineer
<br />FORT LAUDERDALE FIRE STATION NO. 54, Broward County, FL – This 10,000 SF
<br />facility includes a two-bay apparatus room for a ladder and rescue trucks, a medical
<br />exam/watch off ice, two business off ices, equipment bunker storage, medical
<br />storage, decontamination room and a multi-purpose room for department or
<br />community use complete with restroom facilities. The site also includes a training
<br />tower for live drills. Living amenities within the two-story building include private
<br />dormitory facilities, full-service kitchen with commercial range and hood, dining
<br />facility, day room with reclining theater seats, covered exterior patio, laundry,
<br />and tness facility. Sustainable building design and construction practices were
<br />planned into the building and site design to attain Florida Green Building Coalition
<br />Certi cation.
