This $550 million Design/Build projects will <br />improve capacity and operation, add ramp lanes and incorporate Express Lanes on 15 <br />miles of the HEFT. Reference: Assistant District Construction Engineer: William Sears P.E. <br />– (954) 934-1115 – William.Sears@dot.state.fl.us <br /> <br />08/12 – 06/15: FIN: 431281-3-52-01: Construction Project Manager - All Electronic Toll <br />(AET) Conversion Phase SB Sawgrass Expy – FL’s Turnpike Enterprise (Broward <br />County). $41 million Design/Build project to modify the Sawgrass Expressway's Sunrise <br />Blvd and Deerfield Beach toll plazas and the 17 ramp toll plazas. AET conversion scope <br />included toll plaza demolition, grading and paving, signing and pavement marking, <br />drainage, signalization, ITS, new toll equipment structures, widening of the SB Turnpike <br />mainline exit ramp to WB Sawgrass Expressway. Reference: Same as current project. <br /> <br />02/06 – 08/12: Construction Project Manager - FIN: 406097-1-52-01 et al: Widening of <br />Florida's Turnpike from Sunrise Blvd to Atlantic Blvd (Broward County). This $135 million project called for the widening of the FL’s <br />Turnpike from 6 to 8 lanes, replacement of the existing bridges at Commercial Boulevard and the bridge widening over the C -13 Canal, <br />US 441, and Lyons Road. Widening and reconstruction of 7 mile s of mainline roadway, drainage, lighting, retaining walls, noise walls, <br />and reconstruction of the interchange at Commercial Blvd. Reference: Same as current project. <br /> <br />02/06 – 04/11: Construction Project Manager - FIN: 406094-1-52-01 et al: Widening of Florida's Turnpike from Griffin Road to <br />Sunrise Boulevard (Broward County). This $120 million project called for the widening of the FL's Turnpike from 6 to 8 lanes, <br />replacement of the existing bridge at Peters Rd and the widening of the bridges at Griffin Rd, I -595, Broward Blvd and C-12 Canal. <br />Included the widening and reconstruction of 7 miles of mainline roadway, drainage, lighting, one mile long box culvert, retaining walls, <br />noise walls, and reconstruction of the ramps at Griffin Road, I-595 and Sunrise Boulevard. Reference: Same as current project. <br /> <br />06/05 – 08/06: Construction Project Manager - Milling and Resurfacing of Florida's Turnpike and Median Guardrail Installation <br />from Mile Post 153 to Mile Post 169 (St. Lucie County). This $15 million project called for the milling and resurfacing of 64 lane miles <br />of the Florida's Turnpike. It involved the reconstruction of the shoulders, median grading and sodding, median and shoulder guardrails, <br />concrete barrier walls and drainage improvements. Reference: Same as current project. <br /> <br />05/04 – 06/05: Sr. Project Engineer - Widening of 1-95 from 6th Ave South to 10th Ave North (Palm Beach County). Reconstruction <br />and widening from 6 lanes to 10 lanes including HOV lanes. Reconstruction <br />and widening of 3.3 miles of roadway and bridge including the three interchanges on I-95 located between Gateway Blvd and 6th Ave S, <br />MSE and noise walls, drainage, lighting, and addition of HOV lanes.
