Signing and Pavement Markings will <br />be designed as per the latest MUTCD. Our Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP) will account for all modes <br />of transportation including vehicles, pedestrian, bicyclists, and transit. Regarding landscaping and aesthetics <br />the natural and built environment will be critical in order to obtain residents’ approval. <br />• Permitting: CALTRAN will ensure that sign plans will be permitted through the City and stakeholders (FDOT, <br />and SFWM). FDOT permitting process will require familiarity with applications such OSP and ensuring that <br />coordination with permit offices occurs in a one-on-one basis as needed. <br /> <br />• Bidding Phase: CALTRAN will provide post-design support and services until final certification approval, including <br />site visits during construction (limited to visits normally carried out as Engineer of Record) and/or to respond to respond <br />to requests for information by the contractors (RFIs). Task will include monitoring efforts to achieve final certification <br />by all stakeholders and permit closings. CALTRAN will be present at the pre-bid meeting and is willing to respond any <br />questions or give clarifications during the bidding process, review, and approval of shop drawings. <br />CE&I <br /> <br />CALTRAN’ Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) division is FDOT certified and highly qualified to manage <br />roadway construction projects including the following services: project administration, daily inspections, project <br />documentation, submittals review, utility coordination, design support, constructability reviews, value engineering, <br />critical path review, materials testing, cost estimating, claim analysis and project close out. <br /> <br />As the CEI professionals we take pride of becoming an extension of the of the Project’s Owner, represent it in every <br />step of the construction process and take ownership of the objectives until completion is achieved to the fully <br />satisfaction of the Owner. <br /> <br />Our CEI team is on the front lines of construction and work closely with the contractors to monitor and verify that all <br />components of the project are constructed in accordance with the approved plans, specifications, and contract <br />provisions. <br /> <br />The success of our CEI services is based on the principles of effective leadership, flawless communication and closely <br />coordination among project stakeholders. These principles are applied to each one of the technical and administrative <br />tasks that are typical to the CEI Services. <br /> <br />• Technical Services: <br />Conducting pre-activity meetings <br />Survey Control <br />Daily Inspections (Earthwork, Asphalt, Concrete) <br />Enforcement of contract specifications and Standards <br />Shop Drawings and Material requirements submittals review <br />Verify Implementation of Approved Quality Control/Quality Assurance Plan <br />Verify daily Safety practices and protocols as per Approved Safety Control Plan <br />Review sampling and testing methods <br />Monitor Maintenance of Traffic including pedestrian/ADA requirements <br />Daily documentation of installed quantities <br />Final inspection and acceptance <br /> <br />• Contract Administration Services: <br />Communication coordination with project stakeholders <br />Schedule Review <br />Permits Compliance (Department, District, Municipal, City, SFWMD, MOT) <br />Documents Processing: Submittals, RFI’s, Work Orders, Design Changes, Contract Changes, Change Orders, and <br />Application for Payment, among others. <br /> <br />
