Russo, City Manager <br />FROM: Susan Simpson,Assistant City Manager <br />DATE: 6/ 21/2018 <br />Awarding.Invitation to Bid No. 18-03-03 to Luke's <br />RE: Landscaping Inc. for Landscape Maintenance Services <br />for City Right-of-Ways <br />f® RECOMMENDATION: <br />This item is presented for your consideration. <br />REASONS: <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach issued Invitation to Bid No. 18-03-03 <br />for Landscape Maintenance Services for City Right-of-Ways. Luke's <br />Landscaping Inc. proved to be the most responsive, responsible <br />bidder for this service. The initial term of this agreement is_ for 26 <br />months to coincide with the fiscal year and provide the City with the best <br />financial terms.The amount for on-going services for the 26 month <br />period is $1,152,271.10 and we request to add an additional $700,000 <br />for the same period for 'on-demand' services. This total amount of <br />1,852,271.10 is a not-to-exceed amount to include funding for storm <br />debris removal and other unforeseen items for the 26 month period. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />This contract is for an initial 26 month term with three (1) year options to <br />renew for the potential of a 5 year agreement. Approval at this time is <br />for award and funding of the entire first term. Subsequent terms will be <br />Ai contingent upon Commission approval. <br />IIIJ <br />159
