The employee will also be required to take a drug <br />and alcohol test within four (4) hours post -accident or as required by federal and/or state <br />law. <br />(e) You may never use a motorcycle to conduct either Company business or provide <br />transportation for a customer or fellow employee. Only people authorized by your <br />manager can be passengers in Company vehicles. Permitting unauthorized passengers <br />will lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination. <br />(f) No one is allowed to ride in the bed of pick-up trucks or any part of the vehicle not <br />specifically intended for passengers use. <br />(g) All employees operating Company vehicles are required to use their seatbelts and <br />to strictly observe all speed limits, including those on Company property. Not using <br />seatbelts in a Company vehicle and failure to observe speed limits may lead to <br />disciplinary action, up to and including termination. <br />(h) The use of Company vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants, prescription <br />drugs or any other drug that could impair your driving ability is forbidden and will result in <br />discipline up to including termination. <br />(i) Engaging in distracting activities including, but not limited to, the use of cellular <br />phones without a hands free device or texting while driving is prohibited even in slow <br />moving traffic. Drivers are encouraged to pull aside of the road and safely stop the <br />vehicle if they need to take care of the call or any other activity that could impair safe <br />driving. <br />(j) The driver is responsible to ensure the vehicle is equipped with registration, copy of <br />insurance card, first aid kit and any other safety devices assigned to the vehicle. <br />(k) The Company vehicle appearance may not be altered in any way without proper <br />authorization of fleet manager. <br />(I) Vehicles' interior and exterior must be kept in clean condition. <br />(m) Engine fluids must be checked on a daily basis. <br />(n) Adherence to scheduled regular maintenance and tune-ups as required. <br />(o) Report all defects, damages or any other incidents immediately to your manager or <br />to the shop for repairs. <br />(p) Employees are expected to keep unnecessary noise, such as horn honking and car <br />alarms, to a minimum. <br />(q) Employees who utilize or are assigned aCompany-owned vehicle during the course <br />of their employment may be required to sign a separate acknowledgment form <br />covering the requirements and responsibilities associated with operating a Company <br />vehicle. <br />29 <br />
