Any violation of this policy is grounds for disciplinary action, up to and including termination. In <br />addition, all employees should immediately notify their manager or another member of <br />management of any solicitation or distribution of literature in violation of this rule by non- <br />employees. Nothing in this policy is intended in any way to interfere with, coerce, or restrain any <br />employee from exercising his or her rights under any State or Federal labor law, including the <br />National Labor Relations Act. <br />14. THEfT <br />Our society has laws against theft and so do we. Any employee found to be engaged in theft <br />from the Company will be subject to prosecution, as well as discipline. If you must remove <br />Company property from the premises, you must obtain written permission in advance from your <br />manager. <br />15. WORKPLACE SEARCHES <br />In order to protect the safety and property of the Company and its employees and to help <br />prevent the possession, use, and sale of illegal drugs on Company premises, the Company <br />reserves the right to inspect employee's purses, briefcases, packages, lockers, tool boxes, <br />Company cellular phones including Company PDAs, desks and cabinets as well as motor <br />vehicles and any other personal belongings brought onto Company property. Inspections may <br />be conducted at any time at the discretion of the Company. Failure to cooperate with such <br />inspections is a violation of this policy. <br />16. WORKPLACE VIOLENCE <br />The safety and security of the Company's employees, customers, clients, vendors, contractors <br />and the general public are of vital importance. Therefore, acts of violence made by an <br />employee against another person's life, health, well-being, family, or property will not be <br />tolerated. Employees found guilty of acts or threats of violence will be subject to discipline, up <br />to and including immediate termination. The Company prohibits the following: <br />(a) Any actor <br />threat of violence made by an employee against another; <br />(b) Any act or threat of violence, including physical harm; <br />(c) Any act or threat of violence which endangers the safety of employees, customers, <br />clients, vendors, contractors, or the general public; <br />(d) Any act or threat of violence made directly or indirectly by words, gestures, or <br />symbols; or <br />(e) The use or possession of a weapon of any kind, ammunition, fireworks, or other similar <br />items on Company premises, except as permitted by the Preservation and Protection of <br />the Right to Keep and Bear Arms in Motor Vehicles Act of 2008 (Section 790.251, Florida <br />Statutes). <br />It is a requirement that employees report to their manager, in accordance with this policy, any <br />behavior that compromises the Company's ability to maintain a safe work environment. All <br />reports will be investigated immediately and kept confidential except where there is a legitimate <br />need to know. <br />33 <br />
