• Responsible for scheduling and managing labor for <br />assigned accounts. <br />• Created and lead weekly safety and training meetings for <br />all branch employees. <br />• Built monthly budgets and achieved monthly profit goals. <br />• Responsible for achieving high customer survey results. <br />• Ensured all equipment was properly maintenance and <br />service. <br />• Managed and cross-h•ained a team of four estimators. <br />• Lead weekly estimating meetings, reviewing current and <br />future proposals, emphasizing the importance of building <br />relationships and following up with customers. <br />• Lead the team that created the Vila &Son Landscape <br />Depot facility. <br />• Sold a variety of landscape and hardscape materials to <br />both retail and wholesale customers. <br />• Helped assemble marketing plans, including advertising, <br />implementing promotions, and participating in several <br />home and plant shows. <br />MEMBERSHIPS &INTERNATIONAL <br />CONTRIBUTIONS <br />Juan C. Vila's community work is both local and international. In <br />addition to being executive director of the Latin Builders Association <br />(LBA), he was an active member of Associated Builders &Contractors <br />(ABC), Professional Landcare Network (PLANET), American Society <br />of Landscape Architects (ASLA), Florida Nursery Growers and <br />Landscapers Association (FNGLA), and is past chairman of F1U's <br />Honors College Community Advisory Board. At the local level, he and <br />his company had contributed to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami, <br />building homes for low-income families; worked along with community <br />leaders and the Miami River Commission in the rehabilitation of the <br />Miami River and has dedicated much of its efforts in support of the <br />Fisher House MVA, a home away from home for military families <br />whose loved ones are being treated at a military hospital. <br />At the international level, Mr. Vila was chosen to participate in <br />the Joint Civilian Orientation Conference of the US Department <br />of Defense (JCOC), where he has traveled abroad to visit troops <br />and accompanied them on community -building missions. Tluough <br />his participation, he hopes to continue contributing to all the <br />communities. <br />
