<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach |Invitation to Bid No. 20-09-01 18 <br /> <br />Section 3 <br />Scope of Services / Technical Specifications <br /> <br />3.1 BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The Golden Shores neighborhood is located in the City of Sunny Isles Beach. The City is seeking <br />a bid to provide street lighting throughout the neighborhood. The project involves removal of <br />existing light poles, furnish and install new light poles, and related restoration. There is a planned <br />future project (by others) in this neighborhood that will involve conversion of overhead utilities to <br />underground. Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining applicable permits. <br /> <br />3.2 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> <br />1.1 WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br /> <br />A. This contract comprises of work described in accordance with plans and specifications <br />entitled: Golden Shores Street Lighting, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, dated September 11, <br />2020, including sheets E-0 through E-36 and Project Specifications included as Exhibit ‘A’. <br />The project involves lighting improvements within the Golden Shores neighborhood <br />bounded on the South by 185th Street, the North by 191 Terrace, the East by Atlantic Blvd <br />and the West by North Bay Rd within the City of Sunny Isles Beach. Improvements include <br />furnish and install light poles complete with concrete bases, luminaires, pull boxes, <br />trenched and trenchless installation of conduit, repair and replacement of existing <br />improvements disturbed in providing same, and electrical service connections to a <br />temporary power source for each street. <br /> <br />1.2 WORK SEQUENCE <br /> <br />A. Construct Work in phases to accommodate Owner's Service requirements during <br />construction period. <br /> <br />B. Coordinate construction schedule and operations with Owner and Engineer. <br /> <br />1.3 CONTRACTOR USE OF SITES <br /> <br />A. Limit use of sites for Work and for construction operations, to allow for: <br />1. Owner servicing areas with municipal services. <br />2. Work by other contractors. <br />3. Public access to adjacent properties. <br /> <br /> <br />B. Limit access to construction area. <br />
