A worker without symptorns who was diagnosed with COVID-19 can return to work only if 10
days have passed since the date of the first positive COV ID -19 test. If they ever develop
symptoms, then the symptom -based or test -based strategy should be used.
In all cases, follow the guidance of your healthcare provider and local health department. The
decision to stop home isolation should be made in consultation with your healthcare provider
and state and local health departments. Local decisions depend on local circumstances.
We will continue to monitor public health communications about COVID-19 recommendations
by frequently checking the CDC COVID-19 website.
This Policy Statement will be conspicuously posted.
Juan M.
