ADDENDUM # 1 DATE: Thursday, October 29, 2020 TO: ALL PLANHOLDERS FROM: Purchasing Administrator BID NO.: ITB 20-09-01 Golden Shores Street Lighting Bid SUBJECT: Addendum No.1 BID SUBMITTAL DEADLINE: Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 2:30 PM Please attach this addendum to the documents in your possession and include the Acknowledgement of Addenda form with your response incorporated with the Invitation to Bid. Revisions: (Note: Deletions will be indicated by 5tFikethF9Wgh additions will be indicated with bold font): Q1. Will the city accept alternatives to the Holophane Esplanade Teardrop if the specs are matched equivalently? Al. Alternatives will be reviewed as part of the Value Engineering separate submittal, within the sealed bid. Q2. Can you please provide the estimated completion time and contract price for the Golden Shores Street Lighting project. A2. Regarding the budget please refer to the meeting minutes below. The project duration will be established as a function of bid analysis and availability of material. Q3. In order to analyze value engineering proposals for the city, please provide the proposed cross section for undergrounding the existing utilities within the project limits detailing the conduits' sizing & cover for each of the utilities. In addition, please also indicate the offset from the centerline or edge of pavement for this proposed undergrounding within the project limits. Also, please indicate the proposed spacing for manholes/pull boxes/etc. For each of the utilities that will be undergrounded. A3. The future undergrounding and consequences of same are immaterial to the street lighting project. Follow the plans as presented for bidding. Q4. Can multiple value engineering proposals be presented? A4. Yes, value engineering is explained more below as part of the attachments, however yes multiple value engineering suggestions are welcomed. Q5. Please indicate the duration of the contract and if liquidated damages are applicable. AS. No Liquidated Damages are anticipated as a part of this contract. The project duration will be established as a function of bid analysis and availability of material. However, time is of the essence and a 100% performance & payment bond is required at the time of award. Q6. The specification shows a non -cut-off luminaire with a teardrop globe. This unit's light distribution and performance combine the light source output with the prismatic globe lens distribution. Most municipalities and communities are reducing glare and light pollution using full cut-off units. Removing
