Value Engineering For the purposes of the Golden Shores Streetlighting project Value Engineering (VE) will be considered based on the following: Any element of the project, be it material specifications, means or methods of executing the Work, acceleration of the installation time, or in any other way create deductive value which differ from the specifications and construction drawings will be considered as VE. The respective bidder is encouraged to submit their ideas or proposed suggestions in writing with the proposed deductive value of same. VE savings will be identified as a collective line item on the bid form, in the space provided. In the event there are multiple items included only one combined cost figure is to be submitted on the bid form. Each item will be reviewed and accepted or rejected separately from other potential suggestions proposed by bidder. The lowest responsible bidders' VE will be considered on merit and may be included in the final contract amount at the sole discretion of the City. The City is not required to accept any or all of the VE proposed, the decision on accepting or rejecting of any proposed suggestion will be final. All VE suggestions are to included in separate sealed envelope properly identified as "VALUE ENGINEERING" and included in the bid submittal package.
