RFQ No. 20-10-01 Professional Engineering and Architectural Services for Pedestrian Bridge with Park Elements Across A1A at 174th St. CCNA
City of Sunny Isles Beach
|123
REFERENCES:
1) Client: The St Joe Company, Bridget Precise, (850) 231-6480 bridget.precise@joe.com
Project Name: Watersound Footbridge Over US 98 (Watersound, FL)
Description of Services: FINLEY prepared visualizations and concept drawings of the bridge as well as
conceptual cost estimates and construction schedules. The cost estimates were calculated on a unit based
price model. The report concluded with a comparison chart based on criteria that are of importance to a
bridge of this scale and location.
Year Completed: 2019
Relevant Team Members: Jerry Pfuntner, PE, SE, Maxim D. Nasab, AIA, NCARB, Patrick Noble, PE, SE, Craig
Finley, PE.
2) Client: GLF Construction, Joseph M. Beaird, P.E, Vice President / COO, (305) 371-5228, jbeaird@glfusa.com
Project Name: Capital Cascades Crossing Pedestrian Bridge (Tallahassee, FL)
Description of Services: The bridge’s design focuses on aesthetics and presented many challenges for
construction. FINLEY developed a unique temporary support system for the superstructure precast girder
sections that allowed the four slanted steel pipe columns to remain in position while the deck was supported
and post-tensioned. This unique system then allowed for the transfer of the deck to the four slanted columns
acting as the permanent interior piers. For this project, FINLEY provided Construction Engineering services
including, Erection Manual, Falsework Design and Geometry Control.
Project Name: Palmetto Section 5 SR 826/836 Interchange D-B-F (Miami, FL)
Description of Services: FINLEY designed and provided the construction engineering on four high-level
segmental bridge ramps that traverse the core of the interchange. The segmental bridge ramps were precast
balanced cantilevers, and were erected with a 460 ft launching gantry. The bridge lengths vary from 1,100 ft to
2,450 ft in length and are 47-ft-wide. The curved segmental bridge ramps are the third level of the interchange
with radii down to 590 ft and have a maximum superstructure deck height of 95 ft above the proposed
ground. The design offered unique challenges integrating underlying roadways, canals and MOT requirements
into the layout of these segmental bridge ramps.
