Media Relations Group Introduction <br />Media Relations Group, LLC (MRG) is a public information company, specializing in public and private sector <br />public involvement campaigns. The company provides media relations in both English and Spanish, marketing, <br />graphics services, the organization of business interests, grassroots door-to-door consensus building, and <br />serves as a spokesperson for our clients. For 21 years we have established a proven record of developing and <br />executing successful Public Involvement Programs and Community Awareness Plans for the Florida <br />Department of Transportation (FDOT), Miami-Dade Public Works, Miami-Dade Water and Sewer, Miami-Dade <br />Expressway Authority and several private sector clients. The key to the success of the MRG team is the personal <br />contact made with residents and business owners as well as their established relationships with government <br />officials, community leaders and media. That day-to-day contact with our senior staff is the key to the efficient <br />execution of client goals on time and within budget. <br />MRG has an in-house graphics department that specializes in producing transportation and infrastructure- <br />related materials. MRG utilizes the latest desktop publishing software to produce materials that capture the <br />stakeholders’ imagination, in addition to providing the reader with relevant and easy to understand content. <br />For the projects requiring Public Meetings/Hearings, MRG coordinates all activities including the site selection, <br />producing meeting collaterals, developing mailing lists and setting up distribution sites for meeting <br />informational flyers, site planning to maximize public participation, translating collaterals (Spanish and Creole) <br />and tracking and following up with participants’ comments. <br />MRG has a well-established Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plan and all work collaterals created <br />by our team go through an extensive QA/QC process to ensure client satisfaction. Only the highest-quality <br />products are submitted to our clients and proper planning, execution and checking of work is critical to a <br />successful QA/QC process. <br />MRG STAFF INTRO <br />Jeanette Gorgas, Public Information and Communications Professional <br />Jeanette Gorgas is a public information and communications professional with more than 24 years of <br />experience, working in various aspects of communications and television news media outlets throughout South <br />Florida and media coordination experience on various complex transportation projects. Mrs. Gorgas is <br />currently leading public involvement efforts on multiple bridge replacement and reconstruction projects such <br />as the Snowden Pedestrian Bridge along Commodore Trail adjacent to Bridge 874293, the Bridge Replacement <br />at N Miami Avenue over Little River Canal, and Bridge 874420 Replacement over C-100A Canal along SW 136th <br />St between SW 70 Ave and SW 72 Ave. She also successfully leads public involvement campaigns for the Miami- <br />Dade Transportation and Public Works Department (DTPW), Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Department (MD- <br />WASD), and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 6 in Miami-Dade and Monroe County. <br />Mrs. Gorgas was born and raised in Miami-Dade County and is very familiar with the City of Sunny Isles Beach. <br />Laila Haddad, Public Information and Communications Professional <br />Laila Haddad is a public relations professional with more than 37 years of diversified experience, who has <br />worked in the planning, PD&E, design and construction management of major Florida Department of <br />Transportation (FDOT) projects over the past eleven years with MRG. Her expertise is in the production and <br />management of all phases of roadway projects. She has served and continues to serve as lead Senior Public <br />Information Officer on numerous design projects, overseeing all the public involvement activities required for <br />those contracts. In addition, throughout the years Ms. Haddad has managed and provided technical leadership <br />on a number of transportation and infrastructure projects for many agencies throughout Florida, including the <br />FDOT District Four and District Six, Broward County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), Miami-Dade <br />E-53
