BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />The City of Lauderhill proposed the construction of a <br />pedestrian access to the new Central Broward Regional <br />Park and the future Performing Arts Center and Library on <br />NW 11th Place. The project scope included the <br />installation of roadway lighting along SR-7 from 400’ north <br />of SR-838 (Sunrise Boulevard) to NW 12th Street, and <br />decorative pedestrian lighting along NW 11th Place. <br />Additional improvements included milling and resurfacing, <br />installation of decorative stamped concrete and asphalt, <br />lighting, landscaping, and street furniture. The installation <br />of concrete sidewalk/pedestrian path connecting NW 11th <br />Place to the park facilities and the installation of <br />decorative pavers, street furniture, and decorative <br />crosswalks at the intersection of SR-7/US-441 and NW <br />11th Place were also included. <br />This is a FDOT Local Agency Program (LAP) Project. R.J. Behar & Company, Inc. (RJ Behar) was <br />assigned by the City of Lauderhill to perform design, quality assurance reviews of the plans, permitting and <br />coordination with the respective agencies. RJ Behar also provided post design services of the project to <br />ensure the improvements are constructed in accordance with the design.
