LANDSCAPING
The Bridge Park, as well as the east and west entrances, will be landscaped. The existing landscape consists
of Medjool Date Palms, Sabal palms, and hedges of Green Island Ficus. The eastern entrance connects to
Samson Oceanfront Park which contains the same plant material with the addition of Alexander Palms,
Crotons, and Copper Leaf plants. The proposed planting areas surrounding the entrances will maintain
the look and feel of Sunny Isles. Both sides will be landscaped with specimen palms and various shrubs to
blend with the existing conditions.
Florida native and Florida friendly species will be used to improve wind and solar resiliency and reduce
irrigation and maintenance needs. The Bridge Park is comprised of multi-layered planting areas as shown
in the architectural concepts. Each of these beds will maintain the tropical theme proposed in the master
plan.
Bridge Park Landscaping Plan
