ROADWAY MODIFICATION
There will be roadway modifications required
including sidewalk modifications, curb return
and ADA upgrades, median revisions to
discourage jaywalking, as well as, the temporary
demolition and reconstruction of the median to
accommodate the temporary traffic control
phases. The current median roadway geometry
allows for a comfortable U-Turn.
SIGNALS
Bridge mounted traffic signal heads will be
provided since the existing signal at 174th Street
will be obstructed by the new bridge. Miami-
Dade County only allows traffic signals to be
installed horizontally. A 17.5-foot vertical
clearance to the signal head is required. All signal
plans will be submitted to FDOT and Miami-Dade
County for approval.

Median on Collins Ave at 174th St
Signals at 174th St
