Russo, City Manager <br />FROM: <br />Derrick Arias, Chief Information Officer <br />DATE: <br />11 /19/2020 <br />Approving expenditure of budgeted funds in the amount <br />RE: of $75,793.83 with Superion for FY 2020-2021 for Police <br />software system maintenance. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />REASONS: <br />The City entered into an agreement with Superion in May 2006 (via <br />Resolution 2006- 919) for the purchase of a state- of- the- art Police <br />Computer system (called OSSI) that provides the Police Department <br />with a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System, Records <br />Management System (RMS), Mobile Computing Terminals (MCT), and <br />a Mobile Field Reporting (MFR) System. This proprietary software <br />solution has proven to be the leader in public safety software in Miami - <br />Dade County, as well as many other cities and states throughout the <br />country. This expenditure allows staff to contract with the vendor for <br />the annual software maintenance and support for these critical Police <br />Department systems,in an amount not to exceed $75,793.83. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br />Funding was budgeted and is available under the Information <br />Technology Budget, 001-2-5160-434051-00000. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Description <br />Resolution <br />Superion,LLC / Central Square Company <br />Item Number: 10.13. <br />
