Russo, City Manager <br />FROM: <br />Richard Labinsky, P.E., City Engineer <br />DATE: <br />11/19/2020 <br />Resolution Approving Change Order #7 to the <br />RE: <br />Agreement with Nunez Construction for the Gateway <br />Park Center <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff is recommending the City Commission approve the attached <br />Resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach is in need of Nunez Construction to provide <br />additional services because the original contract is changed as follows: <br />Upgrading of the garage fire alarm system for all 4 floors as required by the <br />Miami -Dade Fire Department during inspection for the Temporary Certificate <br />of Occupancy for the building. <br />Also as part of this change order request, we are requesting a 365 day <br />contract time extension to allow for analysis of the electrical usage of the <br />completed build out for the design and installation of an emergency generator <br />for the building. <br />The total cost of these additional services is in an amount not to exceed <br />$92,908.61 <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br />300-6-5720-465000-15001 <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Description <br />CO #7 <br />Request 022 <br />to <br />Item Number: 10.D. <br />https://sunnyisles.novusagenda.com/AgendaWeb/CoverSheet.aspx?ItemID=2864 10/28/2020 <br />
