RESOLUTION NO.2020 - <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE EXPENDITURE <br />OF BUDGETED FUNDS WITH CHRISTMAS DESIGNERS FOR THE <br />LEASE OF HOLIDAY DECORATIONS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO <br />EXCEED FORTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($40,000.00); AUTHORIZING <br />THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br />EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />WHEREAS, through the years the City Commission has expressed their desire to <br />showcase high level, first class holiday inspired decorations ("Decorations") to display <br />throughout the City during the holiday seasons; and <br />WHEREAS, City was in need of leasing of Decorations for the 2020 Holiday Season; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, City staff obtained quotes from various vendors, and determined that <br />Christmas Designers ("Contractor") provided the most responsive and competitive quote; and <br />WHEREAS, the Contractor expressed the ability to meet the required timeline for <br />completion; and <br />WHEREAS, City Commission now wishes to ratify the expenditure of budgeted funds <br />with Christmas Designers for the lease of holiday decorations, in an amount not to exceed Forty <br />Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Ratification of Expenditure of Budgeted Funds. The City Commission hereby <br />ratifies the expenditure of budgeted funds with Christmas Designers for the lease of holiday <br />decorations, in an amount not to exceed Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00). <br />Section 2. Authorization of the City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do <br />all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br />Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of De ember 2 20. <br />George H.
