B. Temporary storage units shall only be placed on the property owner's driveway or a parking <br />area or, if access exists, at the side or rear of the site, the side or rear yard. The required parking <br />space(s) shall at all times be maintained if temporary storage units are placed in parking areas. <br />C. The temporary storage unit shall be located at such address for a maximum of 14 consecutive <br />days, including the days of delivery and removal. An extension may be granted to the applicant <br />by the Code Enf r^ement and T ieens ng Development Services Department, for a reasonable <br />additional time period in an amount not to exceed 30 days. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the <br />additional time period may be extended for a period up to a total of 12 months by the City <br />Manager or his designee for health, safety or welfare reasons deemed necessary by the City <br />Manager or his designee. <br />§ 234-6. - Enforcement and penalties. <br />The provisions of this article shall be enforced in accordance with Chapter 14 of the Code of the <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach. Any person or entity found to be in violation of <br />any section of this article shall be subjected to a $250.00 fine per occurrence. <br />Section 30. Amendment to Chapter 247 of the City Code. Chapter 247 of the City Code is <br />hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Chapter 247 - TOWING <br />ARTICLE I - Private Property Trespass Towing <br />§ 247-5. - Posting of signs required. <br />A. It shall be unlawful for a person, firm, or corporation hired by the owner of private property <br />within the City to do any trespass towing without having first obtained approval of the Cede <br />Enf reement and 7 ieeti _n Development Services Department of the signs posted on the <br />property. In addition to the requirements of Section 715.07, the Florida Statutes, the wording <br />on the sign shall indicate if towing is conducted other than normal business hours by the <br />posting of a sign indicating "24 hours per day." <br />§ 247-7. - Revocation or suspension of privilege to tow; appeals. <br />B. Three violations of the provisions of this chapter by any owner and/or operator of a towing <br />service or towing service vehicle shall result in the automatic suspension of the owner's or <br />operator's privilege to engage in the business of trespass towing. <br />(3) A hearing will be conducted before a Special Master-Maism. <br />
