Russo, City Manager <br />FROM: <br />Evelyn Rodriguez-Plesa, Assistant to the City Manager <br />DATE: <br />3/18/2021 <br />RE: <br />Ratifying Contract Renewals for Disaster Debris <br />Management and Removal Services <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />This item is presented for your approval <br />REASONS: <br />In April 2018, the City issued Request for Proposal No. 18-04-02, <br />Disaster Debris Management and Disposal Services (RFP), to secure <br />the services of a qualified contractor to remove and dispose of <br />disaster generated debris. Subsequently, on May 17, 2018, the City <br />awarded the RFP to a primary and secondary contractor (Resolution <br />No. 2018-2825). The contractors awarded were as follows: <br />Primary: DRC Emergency Services, LLC <br />Secondary: Crowder Gulf Joint Venture, Inc. <br />In an effort to have contracts in place before hurricane season, these <br />contracts were renewed for one (1) two-year term in accordance with <br />the original agreement. <br />Approval for ratification of these contracts is requested. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />These agreements will be activated only in the event of a disaster <br />which requires these services. <br />111:I�t:C���11L'Z� <br />The City maintains an emergency fund that will be used to fulfill this <br />agreement if needed.
