8. Upon conclusion of the investigation, the Contractor will communicate the outcome <br />of the investigation to the Purchasing Entity. If a credit for a disputed transaction is <br />warranted, it will be applied against the current billing period. <br />*Disputes of W EXPayTm transactions are subject to the MasterCard dispute process. <br />Online Dispute Process <br />Provisioned users can use WEXOnline° to request ticket copies, initiate a transaction dispute on <br />a single or multiple transaction(s), and maintain visibility until resolution. <br />Current rules about what types of transactions cannot be disputed (e.g., private site, transactions, <br />aviation transactions, island card reader, etc.) still apply. Onscreen instructional text and error <br />messaging will be displayed if a transaction doesn't meet the dispute criteria. <br />Fraud -related dispute requests can be initiated within WEXOnline°, but due to their urgent <br />nature, these disputes are immediately routed to the WEX Fraud Department for analysis and <br />review. Given their sensitive disposition and circumstance, information about fraud -related <br />disputes, including their status, will not appear in WEXOnline°, and instead will follow existing <br />communication channels. <br />WEXPayT"" transactions cannot be disputed online and must follow the existing process. CARD ACCEPTANCE <br />17.1 Card acceptance is critical to state business and is a scored element of this Competitive <br />Solicitation. <br />The WEX Fleet Card offers acceptance in all 50 states, at more than 95% of U.S. retail fueling <br />locations, all of which provide Level III data. The card is accepted by all major oil companies and <br />fuel retailers, as well as independent merchants, in urban, rural, and remote locations. The WEX <br />Fleet Card is also accepted at approximately 4,500 locations in Canada. Although the number of <br />accepting locations fluctuates due to gas and service stations opening and closing, the WEX card <br />is currently accepted at more than 132,000 retail locations. Of these, approximately 120,000 offer <br />fuel or both fuel and service; approximately 32,000 offer service or both fuel and service. <br />WEX Fleet DriverDash, our free mobile fuel payments platform, is now accepted at more than <br />25,000 US fueling locations, with frequent new acceptance announcements. DriverDash is an <br />industry -first, fleet fuel card mobile payments application. WEX Fleet DriverDash sets the <br />fundamental framework and acceptance for how future payments will be made, including by the <br />vehicle itself. As connected car technology grows and becomes more accessible, the need for <br />these type of mobile payments applications and interfaces will continue to grow. Mobile <br />payments are safer, more secure, and provide a greater level of flexibility and accuracy for what <br />can be prompted for at the time of purchase. <br />WEX is always increasing its acceptance coverage for fuel, marina and service locations. Because <br />we currently have acceptance at more than 95% of all U.S. fuel sites, our merchant acquisition <br />strategy is driven by the needs of our fleet customers requiring service in remote areas or <br />acceptance outside of domestic coverage.
