Russo, City Manager <br />FROM: Kathy Fernandez, Media Manager <br />DATE: July 15, 2021 <br />RE: Adoption of New City Brand <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of this Resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />At the end of 2019, the City embarked on a comprehensive rebranding project with Jacober Creative. <br />The goal was to create a unified and identifiable brand that reflects the evolution of the city and its <br />future growth, connect our local government with the community we serve, inspire resident <br />engagement with the city, attract potential businesses and investors, and position Sunny Isles Beach as <br />a safe, responsive and sought-after community. <br />After extensive research and feedback from the community, we are confident that our new brand is <br />representative of all components of our community and will be a fitting representation of our <br />auspicious future. Our new brand is uniquely co -created with the community we serve, aims to <br />generate excitement and pride, and is forward -thinking and ambitious yet true to who we are. This <br />new brand will have a lasting impact and will reposition us in a way that will have a significant positive <br />influence on our community. <br />The final branding elements were presented and discussed at the Special City Commission Workshor <br />on June 23, 2021. Following a thorough review of the comments from that meeting, as well as those <br />submitted after the workshop through our digital outreach, the final brand is presented for your <br />formal adoption.
