RESOLUTION NO. 2014- <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AWARDING <br />BID NO. 14 -04 -01 TO AND ENTERING INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH LYNX CONSTRUCTION <br />MANAGEMENT, LLC FOR ARLEN HOUSE RIGHT -OF- <br />WAY IMPROVEMENT, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO <br />EXCEED SEVEN HUNDRED FORTY THOUSAND EIGHT <br />HUNDRED TEN DOLLARS AND FORTY CENTS <br />($740,810.40), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID <br />AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS <br />RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City is in need of improvements to the Arlen House Right -of -Way, and <br />issued Request for Proposal No. 14 -04 -01 of which two (2) responses were received; and <br />WHEREAS, the bid response from Lynx Construction Management, LLC was <br />determined to be the lowest responsible and responsive bidder for Arlen House Right -of -Way <br />Improvement Project; and <br />WHEREAS, Lynx Construction Management is qualified, willing and able to provide the <br />desired services on the terms and conditions set forth herein; and <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to award Bid No. 14 -04 -01 to and enter into an Agreement <br />with Lynx Construction Management, LLC for the Arlen House Right -of -Way Improvement <br />Project, in an amount not to exceed Seven Hundred Forty Thousand Eight Hundred Ten Dollars <br />and Forty Cents ($740,810.40), attached hereto as Exhibit "A ". <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Incorporation of Recitals. The recitals set forth in this resolution are incorporated <br />herein by reference as if fully set forth herein. <br />Section 2. Award of Bid and Approval of Agreement. The City Commission hereby awards <br />RFP No. 14 -04 -01 to and approves the Agreement with Lynx Construction Management, LLC <br />for Arlen House Right -of -Way Improvement, in an amount not to exceed Seven Hundred Forty <br />Thousand Eight Hundred Ten Dollars and Forty Cents ($740,810.40), attached hereto as Exhibit <br />«A„ <br />Section 3.
