RESOLUTION NO. 2021-,522(-P <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH TENTATIVE AD VALOREM <br />TAX MILLAGE LEVY RATE AT 2.1000 MILLS PER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS <br />($1,000.00) OF TAXABLE ASSESSED VALUE WHICH IS 6.07% LESS THAN THE <br />"ROLLED BACK" RATE OF 2.2357 MILLS, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2021/2022; PROVIDING <br />FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Miami -Dade County, Florida ("County Property <br />Appraiser"), served upon the City of Sunny Isles Beach a "Certification of 2021 Taxable Value"; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.065, F.S., the City of Sunny Isles Beach furnished the <br />County Property Appraiser the proposed millage rate, and the date, time and place at which public <br />hearings will be held to consider the tentative millage rate and tentative budget; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission agrees to establish the proposed ad valorem tax millage <br />levy rate at 2.1000 mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of taxable assessed value. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Adopt the Tentative Millage Rate. The proposed millage rate is hereby adopted as <br />2.1000 mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of assessed property value in the City of Sunny <br />Isles Beach. The proposed millage is 6.07% less than the "rolled back" rate of 2.2357 mills, for <br />Fiscal Year 2021/2022. <br />Section 2. Effective Date.
