Arias, CGCIO, Chief Information Officer <br />DATE: September 14, 2021 <br />RE: Approving expenditure of budgeted funds in the amount of $79,583.18 with <br />Superion for FY 2021-2022 for Police software system maintenance. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of this Resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />The City entered into an agreement with Superion in May 2006 (via Resolution 2006- 919) for the <br />purchase of a state- of- the- art Police Computer system (called OSSI) that provides the POIICE <br />Department with a Computer Aided Dispatch ( CAD) System Records Management System (RMS <br />Mobile Computing Terminals (MCT) and a Mobile Field Reporting ( MFR) System. This proprietar <br />software solution has proven to be the leader in public safety software in Miami- Dade County as well <br />as many other cities and states throughout the country. This expenditure allows staff to contract with <br />the vendor for the annual software maintenance and support for these critical Police Department <br />systems. <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br />Funding was budgeted and is available under the Information Technology Budget, 001- 2- 5160- <br />434051-00000. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Resolution <br />Quote <br />Item Number: 10.K <br />
