<br />Ferreira Construction is excited about the possible opportunity to complete the
<br />Golden Shores Utility Undergrounding Project for the City of Sunny Isles Beach. Our
<br />offer comes along with a vast experience in construction in power/utility facilities
<br />including substations, power plants, transmission and distribution, underground
<br />utilities (electrical, fiber optic, gas, water, sewer), foundations, and sitework
<br />throughout the US. Ferreira Construction is an ENR Top 175 Contractor qualified
<br />since April 9, 2004, as an authorized corporation to transact business in Florida.
<br />Our company has more than $500 million in annual sales and over 1,000
<br />employees, with national headquarters in New Jersey and regional offices in
<br />Florida (including our Medley office), New York, California, and Rhode Island. For
<br />more than 30 years, we have built a first-rate company with a strong foundation on
<br />integrity and a portfolio of experience and expertise in all facets of civil
<br />infrastructure including underground utilities, road and highway construction,
<br />utility/power, marine construction, and construction management. We are proud

<br />Locally, Ferreira's office in Medley, FL covers work in Broward, Miami -Dade, and
<br />Monroe counties. Over the last 5 years, we have successfully completed over $100 million in projects for numerous
<br />agencies like Florida Power & Light, the Florida Department of Transportation, Miami -Dade County, the Port of Miami,
<br />and the Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority. With over 120 employees working out of Medley and more than 100 pieces of
<br />heavy equipment, we have the talent, skill and resources needed to work on a project of any size. We focus primarily on
<br />underground utilities, roadway construction, directional boring, roadway restoration, site work, and paving, with an
<br />emphasis on safety and service to our clients. Our work has been recognized such as the recently awarded
<br />Construction Award by the FTBA/FDOT for our 47th Ave Project in Miami Gardens, FL completed in 2020. Our team of
<br />managers and field supervisors go thru periodic safety training focused on trench safety, confined space, protection of
<br />existing utilities, and maintenance of traffic among other things.
<br />The invitation to bid emphasizes on the City's intent to hire a contractor that has proven experience in similar work, that
<br />has the ability and capacity to complete the project within the time stipulated by the bid documents, and that has done
<br />so with an emphasis on safety. As a responsible, responsive bidder, Ferreira offers all these qualities that the City is
<br />looking for, accentuated by our experience in the installation of duct banks and underground utilities throughout Miami -
<br />Dade County and highlighted by the integrity and character of our employees. Our operation in South Florida has
<br />performed successfully for Florida Power & Light as an Approved Qualified Vendor for the last 5 years completing an
<br />array of projects safely and successfully, including the installation more than 25,000 LF of duct bank in highly complex
<br />urban projects in Miami -Dade and thousands of feet of underground directional bore conduit.
<br />Currently, through several contracts with FPL, Ferreira has at least seven crews working daily installing underground
<br />utilities including duct banks, cable pulling, installation of manholes, directional boring, with our crews spread out thru
<br />the county. Our underground utility work is from Doral to Miami Beach to Coral Gables. In addition, our Medley
<br />operation has an additional 4 crews that can alternate between duct bank construction and the installation of
<br />underground utilities like water, sewer, and drainage. We know South Florida, we work continuously with underground
<br />utility owners like FPL and AT&T, we do it safely and efficiently, and we have the resources and the financial support to
<br />get the job done right.
