Summary Minutes:Regular City Commission Meeting June 19,2014 City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida <br /> permitted then why isn't it permitted now is because they gated it then so why not now. It is <br /> very unsettling but hopefully from this point forward, clarity will prevail as the result of the <br /> written opinion by our City Attorney. <br /> Commissioner Levin said she is the only one not running this year, and Mayor Edelcup noted <br /> he was not running as well. Commissioner Levin said she understands what the Supreme <br /> Court says and she thinks if you have the right to do it, you have the right to do it. She does <br /> not think it is a moral or ethical dilemma whether or not you want to do it or not. She does <br /> think it is more or less how people receive it whether they are annoyed by it or whether they <br /> think it is okay, and whether people in this City choose to do it or not. We are going to have <br /> other people running for election also coming in, we had the judges coming in, and we had a <br /> couple of people running for the House of Representatives come in. What are we going to do, <br /> sit back and do nothing if they are coming in and doing it,and so she thinks it is just a personal <br /> decision. <br /> 13.
